The MacBook Air in 2015

Apple has had so far only 11 “and 13” McBook Air models, which are quite handy and functional, but still the company wants to sell a model that will fill the gap between the two models. In other words, the company plans to create a model with a 12-inch display.

Information is not yet certain, but such a scenario suggests rumors appearing on the web. According to them, the company is working on a new MacBook Air that will have a 12-inch display. DigiTimes says the serial production of the new hardware should start early next year. Other sources point out that the production has already started, but for now to a very limited extent, so anyway, on store shelves we will find it only in a few months.

The technical details of the new model are unknown, but unofficially it is said that Apple may apply a slightly different design here, so the hardware will be a bit thinner than the previous MacBook Air models. It has also been suggested that Intel Broadwell chips could be on board, but that is speculation.
